Ridiculously over-groomed mum Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (from US TV drama The Bold and the Beautiful) discovers her seemingly perfect new husband (Shawn Roberts) is anything but, in this twisting tale of deceit and murder. It's a well-trodden TV-movie theme but is reasonably handled here, as an apparently simple case of infidelity spirals into a nightmare situation that leaves Wood on the run from police and racing against time to rescue her young son. Events are pacey and relatively involving, yet entirely far-fetched, with the actions of both Wood and the cop she gets on her side becoming increasingly ludicrous. Ultimately, you keep watching to see her villainous spouse come unstuck, especially since a well-cast Roberts does duplicitous so entertainingly.
